Aisling

My name is Aisling and I began my au pair experience after finishing high school. I spent 12 months with my first host family in New York where I had a wonderful experience with a same sex couple and two toddlers!

I got to travel often throughout my first year both with friends on weekends, and my host family also took me on multiple vacations too! I had a jam packed year and created memories that will last a lifetime.

I loved my first year so much that I decided to extend my stay for an additional 6 months with a new family on the west coast. I moved to Oregon when the pandemic was starting however I was determined to not let this ruin my experience. I stayed the entire 6 months in Oregon and had the time of my life!

Even throughout a pandemic my time as an au pair was one of the best experiences I believe I will have in my life and I now have two beautiful second families and places I call home, plus friends from all over the world. I would recommend this experience to anyone. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for Au Pair in America.
